Having caught the attention of viral charts with Müslüm Gürses’ legendary song “Seni Yazdım Kalbime” and later blending Arabesque and rock with “Ciğerime,” DOU is now revitalizing another iconic Turkish pop classic.
The song “Aşk-ı Kıyamet,” with lyrics and music by Yalçın Akyıldız, which was etched into memories with Emre Altuğ’s rendition in 2003, is now taking on a whole new atmosphere with DOU’s unique vocals and modern touches. Enriched with rock elements, the song is being reimagined with a fresh perspective.
Produced by Can Atayılmaz, with mixing and mastering by the talented Utku Ünsal, the song also features striking live string recordings by Istanbul Strings.
